Jonel Hydraulics are pleased to announce the move of the South Island workshop to larger premises at Unit 6, 20 Parkhouse Road, Wigram. Since opening a South Island hydraulic workshop in April 2011, we have grown to need more room to work on cylinder repairs – and our expanded hydraulic tooling hire service is ready to help with your projects.

South Island Hydraulics Update
The Christchurch team are busy with a range of interesting projects in the midst of the Christchurch rebuild, and ongoing demand for BAU hydraulic servicing and hire work.
With a growing team and increasing business, the project to move to new larger premises is underway. Watch this space!
Huge new barrel manufacture for Macraes a record-sized project
North of Dunedin in the Otago region, Macraes is New Zealand’s largest gold producing operation and the two mines have produced over 4 million ounces of gold to date.
Jonel’s Christchurch team recently organised the manufacture of a new 3-4 tonne barrel for a large Hitachi EX25000-6 digger. The project involved cutting off the base eye and gland, manufacturing a new barrel, heat shrinking and welding to complete a full retube.

Jonel Hydraulics hire equipment in demand for big Christchurch construction projects
The Jonel Hire team have been busy with demand for hydraulic hire tooling in Christchurch. In particular the new Central Library and the new Novotel Hotel at Christchurch Airport.

The $8 million dollar 4.5 star Novotel construction project at the Christchurch Airport is 75 per cent owned by the Christchurch City Council and 25 per cent owned by the Crown.
